Chapter 1: Scala Simple Build Tool (SBT) is presented in introduction. SBT installations with its workflow is given here. Compile, Test Compile, Test, Run, and Clean is there. A build.sbt File is described here with a Library Dependencies, Tasks, Commands, Resolvers, Command Aliases, and Plugins.  

Chapter 2: This explains codes in relation with case class and pattern matching, the primary constructor, secondary constructor, and constructor overloading. Programs related have been method overloading by utilization of different data types and varied parameters is said here. Scala this Keyword is stated in it with constructor calling. Topic of inheritance is shared in this with its types, like single inheritance and multi-level inheritance and other types.

Chapter 3: There is explanation about method overriding, field overriding, coding materials about final variable, final method, and final class. The abstract class is described in this with variables, constructors, and the abstract methods. Wherein abstract methods are not such as implemented is also talked about in this.     

Chapter 4: All educational and technological knowhow about traits in Scala is said here. Its definition with examples, and universal traits are given. Coding matters in relation to mixin order not maintained, and then maintained is shared. Extend trait during creation of object is stated. traits having non-abstract and abstract methods is told in it. trait mixin, layered traits, trait linearization, sealed traits, transparent traits, and Behavior-driven Development Testing is talked about in the chapter.   

Chapter 5: access modifiers with private members, public members, and protected members is stated here with scopes for protection. 3 types of access modifiers are there, namely, public access modifier, private access modifier, and no access modifier. Create files, read file with a reading of each character, and then reading every line. This is all there in file handling. Codes for writing files, reading lines from the command lines, and reading file contents is said here.

Chapter 6: type casting in a Scala concludes the book with type erasure and type ascriptions. 3 types are there, namely, value type casting, a type casting by use of pattern matching, and a then type casting by usage of asInstanceOf[T] method.
